Hawkesdale P12 College believes the pathway from Secondary School to ongoing employment is critical. Our school is committed to providing our students with the best outcomes for employment after school. Our work experience program ensures students can then make informed career choices from their work experience placements.

Our 4 week work experience program allows our students to learn valuable on the job industry experience. Students complete 2 weeks in year 10 at local businesses within the Hamilton, Portland and Warrnambool areas. Then in year 11 students spend 2 weeks In Melbourne. This is not only a valuable work experience opportunity but also a great Melbourne experience as students learn to navigate themselves to and from work and also spend their evenings as a group enjoying evening activities such as ice skating, bounce, eureka skydeck, movies and much more. This gives our students four different work place experiences.

Hawkesdale P12 College is the only school in the Barwon South West that offers 4 weeks work experience.
